The North Platte Senior Center is currently distributing Farmer's Market Coupons. Qualifications are:
Must be 60 years old. Income for a single is $22,459.00 a year, couple is $30,451.00. Seniors need to bring proof of income and current I.D. They receive $48.00 in coupons that they may purchase fresh fruits and vegatables, herbs and honey.

Taste of the Plains will be from 5:30 to 8 p.m.on April 26 at the Quality Inn and Suites. The event is sponsored by Mid-Plains United Way.
Ticket are $25 in advance and at the door. There will be food vendors and artists. There will also be a silent auction.
During the event, partner agencies will be introduced for the 2018-19 United Way campaign. Proceeds from the event benefit Mid-Plains United Way agencies. Tickets are available at the Mid-Plains United Way office at 315 N. Dewey St., Suite 203B.
We will be hosting our 2nd Annual Family Fun Day on April 7. Once again, the event is free to all as our way to say thank you for all the support. We will be giving away tons of prizes, including over 50 (hopefully 100) bicycles. Plus free lunch. Just like last year, Fun Jumpz will be there with 4 bounce houses. We will also have face painting and balloon artists. Several games will be set up, and we will have the GOC JAIL set up so you can have your friends arrested for fun. And don't forget to grab some lunch; burgers and hotdogs cooked by Early Bird & Second Mouse, and also pizza. We are so excited about this year's event and can't wait to see all the smiling kids faces!
RDAP proudly presents "The Roaring 20’s," an unforgettable evening of entertainment presented by NebraskaLand National Bank. This magical evening will include North Platte Jaycees Casino Games, heavy hors d'oeuvre, cash bar presented by Pals Brewing Company, a signature drink, prizes and so much more!
Passwords to gain entrance to this speakeasy will be provided at a cost of $100, which also includes entry for 2, food, and casino chips. In true speakesy fashion, the location will also be given with password fee. This night will be one to remember as guests are encouraged to dress in their best Roaring ‘20s attire, but not necessary, casual attire is acceptable as well.

Mid-Plains United Way applications have gone out, and there will be a short informational meeting covering any questions or instruction you may need in order to apply for funds with United Way.
The meeting will be held January 30, 2018 at 11:00 am at the Wells Fargo 2nd floor Boardroom.

FOOD PANTRY: The Salvation Army's food pantry needs help with Breakfast foods, peanut butter and macaroni & Cheese.
FOR HOLIDAY MEALS: Foods are needed for Thanksgiving and Chrismas Food Boxes.

The 2017 Leadership Lincon County volunteer project is for ages newborn to pre-K. We are gathering: socks, shoes, diapers, wipes, Pull Ups, formula, shampoo, lightly used clothing and non-perishable baby food for area daycare centers as they sometimes run short of these supplies.
