DONOR PRIVACY POLICY

Mid-Plains United Way’s utilizes several security measures to keep any personal information we capture from our donors secure.

 

Mid-Plains United Way obtains personal information in the following ways:

  • From applications or forms (e.g., name, address, phone number)

  • From transactional activity (e.g., contributions and grant recommendations)

  • From other sources with consent or with the consent of the donor’s authorized representative

We may use this information to process transactions, respond to inquiries, and develop, offer and deliver new programs and services. Mid-Plains United Way takes great care to protect personal information and determine when it is used, and we do so with respect for our donors’ privacy.

 

We will not sell, share or trade our donors’ names or personal information with any other entity, nor send mailings to our donors on behalf of other organizations. This policy applies to all information received by Mid-Plains United Way, both online and offline, on any platform, as well as any electronic, written or oral communications. Personal information we collect may only be shared with government agencies for tax purposes or law enforcement regarding suspicious transactions. All contact information is used for internal purposes only and never published. It is always the donor’s choice if they wish to remain anonymous.

 

We will promote businesses that donate to Mid-Plains United Way via social media and our website. We do not promote individuals without consent.
