29TH ANNUAL FNBO CHILI COOK OFF

$10 per person includes beverages and unlimited chili tasting
Join us at FNBO in the North Platte Canteen District as they present the 29th annual Chili Cook-Off. This event has kicked off the Mid-Plains United Way Giving Campaign for almost 30 years and features the best chili tasting in our 16-county service area.

Donations determine best chili, best booth, and the lucky victim to get a pie in the face!
Team Information

​Use your own recipe to compete for best chili

Please provide 1 or 2 roasters for chili samples-dressings and complimentary beverages are allowed

Decorate your booth-or yourself-in your choice of theme

Booths must fit a 10x10 space-no vehicles allowed

Booth positions will be determined by drawing and sent to you

1 table and 2 chairs will be provided

Please bring your own labeled heavy duty extension cord

Set-up begins at 10 a.m. Serving starts at 11:30 a.m. and continues until 1:30 p.m.

Spoons and bowls for tasting will be provided

Awards will take place at 1:30 p.m. for Best Chili-People's Choice and Best Booth

Blue Sky Invitational
Monday, August 26 | 11 a.m. Shotgun Start (Central Time) | Dismal River Club Mullen, NE
Join us at the beautiful Dismal River Club for a day of unbeatable golf, networking, and an opportunity to support a worthy cause. 100% of the funds raised will be given to our 2024-25 partner agencies. Your participation will help us raise funds to support vital programs and services in our community. We hope you can join us for this memorable day of philanthropy.

Our tournament is a 4-man scramble on the challenging Red Course at the Dismal River Club. There is one round of 18 holes with prizes available to win at each hole. Mulligans, Tee Ups and Magic Putts will be available to purchase. Participants will be treated to a delicious awards dinner after tournament play is complete. Registration also includes a boxed lunch, gift and three drink tickets for each entry.

All participants may extend their stay at the Dismal River Club. Accommodations are available on Sunday and Monday nights. Extra rounds of golf are available Sunday and Tuesday. Call the Club at 308-546-2900 for more information.
Let's Pull Together! Human Tractor Pull

Bring your team of 4-6 and show we can move mountains (or tractors) when we work together! Join Mid-Plains United Way for our inaugural human tractor pull. Teams will race against the clock-and each other-to win the tractor pull champion title.
This is a terrific opportunity for businesses, ranches, fire departments, police departments, schools and families to show who can "pull together" the best.
As a fundraiser for both Mid-Plains United Way and your own cause, teams are asked to guarantee a contribution of $300 to Mid-Plains United Way and crowdfund via social media like Facebook fundraisers for your own cause. Registration includes a t-shirt and Prime Rib Feed ticket for each participant.
All participants must complete a photo/video release and liability waiver prior to the event.
3rd Annual Easter Egg Hunt
Saturday, March 30 | 3-5 p.m. | Pals Brewing Company
Presented by Pals Brewing Company. Kids Hunts will be at Noon and 1 p.m. Each round will be $5. From 3-5 p.m., adults 21 and over are invited to celebrate spring and March Madness at our annual Easter Egg Hunt featuring 4 rounds of hunting and our Elite "EGG" Raffle. Over $2k in prizes are waiting for you to find them! Take your chances with the Elite "EGG" Raffle and try to win a Big Green Egg Smoker/Grill/Pizza Oven, a Solo Stove Pizza Oven or $250. Adult Easter Egg Hunt Tickets are $10/Round. 1 Elite "Egg" Raffle Ticket is $10/Each. 3 Elite "Egg" Raffle Tickets are $20/Pack of 3. Veterans Day Parade

North Platte Downtown Association will be hosting the annual Veterans Day Parade in the Canteen District. The regular parade route will be used: North down Dewey Street to Sixth, east to Bailey, south on Bailey back to East A Street.
