A message from the mid-plains united way Campaign Chairs

"Make an investment and make a real difference."

“The time is upon us to assess the needs of the community and to take the opportunity to make the community a better place for everyone. The Mid-Plains United Way is a local organization that focuses on the needs of local people in our community. There are so many organizations in the community that work at meeting the needs of the people who live here. These organizations need help, both physically being a part of the solution and financially to fund the work being done. United Way is a partner in this process. The funds raised in the United Way Campaign are allocated to the needs of the 15 organizations that are selected to partner with Mid-Plains United Way, which work 24/7 making this community a better place to live and grow.

“The goals of United Way are, first, to help every child graduate and become a productive citizen. Second, to help every individual have access to affordable healthcare and meet their nutritional needs to reduce the impact to our community healthcare system. Third, to improve working families’ financial stability so they can provide their children with a quality education and good health. These goals can only be reached by all participating in the process. Big businesses, small businesses, academia, the faith communities, parents, neighbors, non-profits, elected officials, and labor working together can make reaching these goals possible. United, we can make this a better community and world for everyone.”

— Tom Willnerd, President of Mid-Plains United Way Board of Trustees
